A traditional German variety from the Hersbruck growing region, this hop exhibits a fine noble aroma but sometimes shows very low alpha acids. It is considered as a successor of Hallertauer Mittelfrüh. Often used for lagers, pilsners, bocks, weizenbocks, wheats, Belgian-style ales, kölsch and Munich helles.

Hallertauer Mittelfrüh is the original regional variety of Hallertau and, with its delicate aroma and average bitterness content, is still very popular today. Great for use in wheats, altbiers, pilsners, belgian ales and American and German lagers. It offers flavours including aniseed, blackberry, liquorice, citrus fruits and bergamot.
